Announce: Editorial Vacancies for In-spire e-journal of Law, Politics and Societies

We invite post-graduate students from Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to join In-spire!

 

Did you know that Keele has its own academic journal? In-Spire, based in Keele’s Research Institute for Law Politics and Justice is a peer-reviewed e-journal staffed by postgraduate students. We have held a number of events at Keele and have published articles, book reviews and special journal issues on our website at www.in-spire.org

 

In-Spire publishes biannual issues reflecting the inter-disciplinary interests of the faculty. We publish good quality articles and book reviews from people at any stage of their academic career. Besides post-graduate academics, In-Spire especially welcomes contributions from the faculty members.

 

To be a subject editor for In-spire you would be required to attend the regular meetings of the editorial board, contribute regularly towards the running of the journal by reviewing, giving feedback on submitted articles, and help with publicising the journal both within Keele and further afield.

 

All positions are voluntary and although we ask for commitment from editors, we will not expect you to undertake work that disrupts your research.

 

Subject Editors needed for Media and Communication, Law, Politics, Gender and Sexuality

 

Job description:

 

• Provide the key link for authors between manuscript submission and the published work in your subject area
•  Proof-read, copy-edit, and arrange peer-review for subject-specific submissions according to the In-Spire style guide and your subject-relevant knowledge
• Liaise with authors over amendments
• Attract submissions from researchers in your field
• Be involved in special events and journal issues and potentially take the lead in subject-specific events and issues
• Support the team with overall running of the journal!
